Venues

Every kind of room. And a few that aren't rooms at all.

We are a mobile bar, so the venue is your choice, not ours. Barn, ballroom, beach or backyard — we bring the bar, the ice, the glassware and the people, and we plan for what that particular space is going to throw at us.

The spaces we work in

Find the one that looks like yours.

Every venue type below has its own quirks — its own power situation, its own load-in, its own rulebook. Here is what each one is really like, and what we do about it.

Barns & farms

Cedar beams, string lights, and a field for a parking lot.

Restored barns · working farms · ranch pavilions · orchard and grove venues

What the space throws at us
  • One outlet by the door, and the caterer wants it too.
  • Water is a spigot a hundred yards away — or a hose, or nothing.
  • Load-in crosses grass, gravel and a lip at the threshold.
What we bring for it
  • Battery bar lighting and a power plan agreed before the day, not fought over during it.
  • Our own water and a full ice plan, so nobody is running a hose at cocktail hour.
  • Bars that roll on turf, and a crew that has done this walk a hundred times.

Waterfront & beach

The view does the decorating. The wind does everything else.

Beach clubs · sailing centers · marinas · piers · bayfront lawns and rooftop decks

What the space throws at us
  • Wind takes napkins, straws, garnish and anything not weighted down.
  • Sun turns a beautiful ice supply into a puddle by 3pm.
  • Sand and boardwalks are a rough ride for a loaded bar.
What we bring for it
  • Weighted, covered service stations and windproof setups — no chasing cocktail napkins into the surf.
  • Insulated ice storage sized for heat, and a restock schedule that assumes the sun.
  • Beach-capable carts and enough hands to get everything down and back up.

Estates & private homes

Your home, your rules — and we leave it exactly as we found it.

Private estates · pool decks · driveways · lanais · guest houses and family properties

What the space throws at us
  • There is no service entrance. There is your front door and your good floors.
  • The kitchen is a kitchen, not a prep line — and you still want to use it.
  • Whatever we bring in has to leave, including the trash and the ice melt.
What we bring for it
  • A self-contained bar that works off our truck, floor and deck protection, and quiet setup.
  • Our own prep, our own coolers, our own everything — your kitchen stays yours.
  • Full pack-out and a leave-no-trace clean-up. You should not be able to tell where the bar stood.

Gardens & outdoor venues

Oak canopies, courtyards, and ground that is never quite level.

Garden clubs · botanical venues · courtyards · vineyards · lawns under the oaks

What the space throws at us
  • Nothing sits flat. A bar that rocks is a bar that spills.
  • The service line ends up in full sun unless somebody plans for shade.
  • Sprinklers, uplighting and a rain plan all want the same square of ground.
What we bring for it
  • Levelling for every bar and back table, checked before the first guest arrives.
  • Shade for the bar and the people working it, so service stays fast when it is 94 degrees.
  • A rain plan agreed at the walkthrough — where the bar moves, and who calls it.

Museums, galleries & landmarks

Beautiful rooms with a rulebook, and we have read it.

Museums · galleries · historic theatres · mansions · civic landmarks and heritage buildings

What the space throws at us
  • Real rules: no red wine near the collection, floor protection required, nothing against a wall.
  • Everything goes through one service door on a schedule someone else owns.
  • The venue's insurance requirements are not a formality.
What we bring for it
  • A team that works the venue's restrictions into the bar plan instead of discovering them on site.
  • Load-in and load-out inside the window we were given, every time.
  • Certificates of insurance sent to the venue ahead of the date, named exactly how they need it.

Warehouses & industrial spaces

A big blank room that becomes whatever you decide it is.

Warehouse venues · lofts · converted factories · breweries' event halls · blank-canvas spaces

What the space throws at us
  • Everything is bring-your-own: bar, ice, water, glassware, sometimes the lighting.
  • The room is huge, so one bar in the wrong corner means a twenty-minute line.
  • Concrete and freight doors are kind to load-in and hard on ambience.
What we bring for it
  • The whole bar as a unit — structure, service, ice, glass, garnish, staff.
  • Bar placement and staffing sized to the room and the guest count, not to a default.
  • Bars that are worth looking at, because in a blank room the bar is the centerpiece.

Ballrooms, hotels & country clubs

Polished rooms that often hold their own liquor license.

Hotel ballrooms · country clubs · resorts · banquet halls · conference centers

What the space throws at us
  • Many of these venues hold the license and require you to buy the alcohol through them.
  • In-house catering has its own timeline, and the bar has to fit inside it.
  • Union or in-house staffing rules can decide who is allowed to touch what.
What we bring for it
  • Staff-only bartending where the venue holds the license — you use their alcohol, you get our people.
  • A crew that runs on the venue's timeline and talks to their banquet captain directly.
  • Signature cocktails, glassware and service style that make an in-house bar feel like yours.

Halls, clubs & community centers

The rooms a town actually celebrates in.

Women's and Lions clubs · VFW and legion halls · church halls · rec centers · civic buildings

What the space throws at us
  • Kitchen access varies wildly, and so does what is stored in it.
  • The curfew is real, and the deposit depends on being out on time.
  • Rules about alcohol are often set by a board, not a coordinator.
What we bring for it
  • A setup that assumes no kitchen and is delighted when there is one.
  • Out on time, cleaned up, deposit intact — we work backwards from the curfew.
  • Licensed, insured service and paperwork the board will accept the first time.

Breweries, wineries & tasting rooms

They have got beer and wine covered. We handle the rest.

Craft breweries · wineries · cideries · distillery tasting rooms · taproom event spaces

What the space throws at us
  • The venue pours its own beer and wine and will not let anyone else touch it.
  • Anything beyond a tap list — cocktails, zero-proof, a signature drink — is on you.
  • The taproom crowd and your private event share a building and sometimes a bathroom.
What we bring for it
  • A cocktail and zero-proof bar that works alongside their taps instead of competing with them.
  • Signature drinks built around what the venue already makes.
  • A clearly marked private bar so your guests know which one is theirs.

Restaurants & private dining

Somebody else's kitchen, and a room you've taken over for the night.

Private dining rooms · restaurant buyouts · chef's tables · rooftop restaurant terraces · supper clubs

What the space throws at us
  • The house bar is built for the dining room, not for eighty people arriving at once.
  • The restaurant's own license and its rules about outside alcohol come first.
  • Kitchen service and bar service are competing for the same narrow aisle.
What we bring for it
  • A second bar, placed away from the dining room, so the house bar keeps doing its job.
  • Staff-only service on the venue's license where that is the arrangement.
  • A service plan worked out with the restaurant's manager before your guests arrive.

Offices & rooftops

Lobbies, terraces and the good conference room, after five.

Office lobbies · rooftop terraces · showrooms · coworking spaces · corporate campuses

What the space throws at us
  • Building management wants a COI, a freight elevator booking and a certificate of your existence.
  • Setup happens while people are still working, so noise and mess are not options.
  • The bar has to fit in an elevator and through a standard door.
What we bring for it
  • Paperwork to building management ahead of the date — COI, vendor forms, whatever they ask for.
  • Quiet, tidy setup in business clothes, on the freight window you booked.
  • Modular bars that break down to fit an elevator and reassemble in minutes.

Backyards & open ground

No venue at all is still a venue. It just needs a flat spot.

Backyards · tents in a field · driveways · parking lots · farmland and family property

What the space throws at us
  • There is no power, no water, no ice machine and no bathroom plan.
  • The ground decides where the bar can go, and it changes when it rains.
  • Nobody has done a walkthrough, because there is nothing there to walk through.
What we bring for it
  • Everything: bar, ice, water, glassware, garnish, trash, and the people to run it.
  • A site plan from photos and a map, so we arrive knowing where the bar goes.
  • The same licensed, insured service you would get in a ballroom, on a lawn.
Whatever the room

Six things that don't change with the venue.

The space decides how we set up. It never decides how we show up.

Licensed and insured, everywhere

Liquor liability and general liability on every event, in every space we work in — indoors, outdoors, on a beach or on a rooftop.

Your venue's COI, before they ask

Most venues need a certificate of insurance naming them. Tell us who to name and we send it ahead of your date.

We bring the bar with us

Structure, ice, glassware, tools, garnish, mixers and staff arrive with us. If the room has nothing, the bar still happens.

In and out inside your window

Load-in, service and load-out planned around the venue's schedule and your curfew — not around ours.

Leave-no-trace clean-up

Bar trash, ice melt, empties and every piece we brought leave with us. Nobody is scrubbing a hall at midnight.

A local team who has been there

Your Spunky team works your area every weekend. Odds are good they already know your venue, its loading door and its coordinator.

Already booked a venue?

Say the name when you get in touch. Your local Spunky team works your area every weekend — there is a good chance they have already poured there, know the loading door, and have their certificate of insurance on file with the coordinator. Each team lists the venues they know on their own page.

Venue questions, answered

Working in your space

Yes, and it is routine. Send us the venue's name and the exact wording they need on the certificate and we send it to them ahead of your date. Liquor liability and general liability are included on every event — you do not pay extra for the paperwork.

No. Barns, fields and beaches are a big part of what we do. We plan power and water at the walkthrough — battery lighting, our own water, and an ice plan sized for the weather. You will never be running a hose across a field at cocktail hour.

Yes. That is our staff-only service: the venue provides the alcohol under their license, and we provide the bartenders, the service, the signature cocktails and the standards. Plenty of hotels, clubs and resorts work with us exactly this way.

Happily. Your local team pours at the venues in your area every weekend and knows which ones are easy, which ones have a tight curfew, and which ones will need an extra bar. Ask when you get your quote — the advice is free either way.

We have poured in ballrooms and in driveways. If there is a flat, safe spot to set up and legal permission to serve, we can build a bar there. Tell us the space and we will tell you honestly what it needs.

Wherever you are

Tell us the space. We'll bring the bar.

Send us your venue and your date — or a photo of the field, if that is what you have. We will tell you exactly what that space needs.
